My favorite Cooking site in Singapore

"MEATMEN" is my favorite site of Singaporean cooking.  This is a site of Singaporean TV show, but I don't have TV at home so I didn't know about this for long time.  I've got to know about this from the recipe book I bought.

I have some knowledge of Chinese; Cantonese cooking though Singaporean food is more than just Chinese but mix of Malay and Indian cooking.  I was wondering how to make some of the  dishes for a while.

This show and the recipe book explains very well how to cook some of the most famous Singaporean dishes.  I don't make it often enough but it gave me so much knowledge.  It's also fun to watch, so take a look!


「MEATMEN」シンガポール料理で私が一番好きなのがこのサイト。このサイトとレシピ本を知って、自分でもローカル料理が作れるようになった。海外に住んでいても外国人であると、その土地の料理というものが意外とよく分からない。香港在住の最終年に、広東料理を知ろうと色々と自分なりに模索したが、言葉の壁や知らない食材が多すぎてとても苦労した。

シンガポールは英語でアクセス出来るだけ楽だが、マレー語と融合した、よくわからない料理が無数にあり謎が多かったが、この本に出会ってすっきり頭が整理された。シンガポールは、客家系の料理（元は福建省辺り）、潮州料理、マレー料理、インドネシア料理、インド料理があるので、ローカル料理と言っても数がとても多い。興味がある方にはおすすめのサイト。
