Vegetable prices

It was a promotion day but I was surprised with the prices of vegetables in Kumamoto that so cheap.  They are not necessarily local but how can they survive with such low price tag..

「野菜の値段」この日は何かのプロモーションだったと思うが、ロメインレタスが３０円だった。必ずしも地元野菜ではないようなのにこんな安値で商売になるのだろうか。熊本は野菜や肉がとても安価だ。香港、シンガポールは完全に東京より物価が高いが、最近はバンコクでももう少し物価が高いような気がする。
