Cornish delicacies

There is two famous Cornish food, one is Cornish pie and the other is Cream tea.  I like both of them very much.  The pie we bought at the bakery at Tintagel was better than the other shop.  It had a thinner crust and the filling was simple yet delicious.  Traditional pie filling is potato and beefsteak.

I also liked Cream tea.  I think this is much more about the local clotted cream that makes this special.  Clotted cream is a special dairy product that I didn't know before.  It's rich cream almost a butter and it goes super well with plain scorns.

コンウォールの名物はコーニッシュパイとクリームティー。クリームティーとはスコーンにクロテッドクリームとジャムを合わせて紅茶と頂くもの。クロテッドクリームとは乳脂肪率が６０％ほどで、バターとクリームの中間のものだ。リッチだが素朴なプレインスコーンとの相性が抜群でとても美味しかった。

コーニッシュパイは伝統的な中身はじゃがいもと牛肉ステーキ。ティンタジェルで買ったパイは皮も薄くて中の味付けもよく、ステーキがたっぷりでとても美味しかった。
