Ozoni

Ozoni is a soup dish that we have for the new year.  The style of the soup varies depending on the region and also the family.  It usually put the Mochi; a rice cake inside.  Because I only could find square cut Mochi in Singapore but my regional mochi is usually round one.  I hardly eat Mochi because it's high in calories but it tastes so good.

「お雑煮」２日の夜はお雑煮と、お節の残り。今年は鶏の出汁をとっておいたので、いいお雑煮ができた。近所の日本食材店には角餅しかなかったが、まる餅の方がしっくりくる。
