Poulet au lait

I made Japanese western dish called "Cream stew" the other day.  This is very popular winter dish for kids in Japan.  I believe the original dish is more like thicker soup style than this.  Stew is English style of dish and there are not exactly same one in French cooking.

「鶏のクリームシチュー」冬っぽい料理を作ろうと思って クリームシチューを作ってみた。しかしあまりにも長年作っていなかったのでどんなものだか忘れてしまい、こんな感じのフレンチとの間のようになってしまった。

シチューとは英語で、フランス料理には色々な煮込み料理はあるが、ビーフでもクリームでもシチューと同様な料理はない。日本の洋食シチューはイギリス料理から来ているものだろうか。
