Taiwanese mayonnaise shrimps


Since I had some home made mayonnaise, I made a dish that to use mayonnaise.  This is  very popular Chinese dish, especially in the U.S. but I actually never had this in Hong Kong.  The key of this sauce is to sweeten the mayonnaise with concentrated milk, but because I didn't have it I just add some cane sugar and some vinegar.

「海老マヨ」自家製のマヨネーズがあったので、久しぶりに海老マヨを作ってみた。これはアメリカで人気の台湾発祥の料理だと思う。香港では一度も食べた事がない。卵と片栗粉でカリッとした衣を作り、甘いマヨネーズで和えるもの。マヨネーズはコンデンスミルクを加えるものだが、無いので砂糖と少量の米酢を足した。
