Tawara yama

Tawara yama is closest Aso mountain to Kumamoto city.  There are many mountains in Mt. Aso and this one is usually the one to cross over to get inside of towns of Aso.

It takes about twenty minuets from my home to get there so I come by here very often but any season it's very nice and beautiful.  The mountain was covered with "Susuki" now.  I've found this was absolutely amazing to see.

「俵山」阿蘇山にはいろんな山があり、俵山は私が住む市内から一番近い所にある。阿蘇はカルデラ山でドーナッツのように円型の外輪山があり、俵山はその外輪山のうちの一つだ。

今はトンネルが出来たので普段は山越えをしないが、今回は山をドライブしてみた。山肌一面に広がるススキがとても美しかった。最後の写真は俵山峠から見下ろした南阿蘇。
