Steam Locomotive trip to Hitoyoshi

I went on the trip to take "SL Hitoyoshi" for the first time.  This steam locomotive runs a local line from Kumamoto to Hitoyoshi where is south of Kumamoto.  This local line runs along the Kuma river so it was a very scenic trip.  Unfortunately, I couldn't take nice photos of the river but the view was beautiful.

「SL人吉」母と婦人のグループでSLに乗る日帰り旅行をした。人吉は熊本県の南にある市。熊本駅からSL人吉という球磨川沿いを走るローカル線の旅はなんだか新鮮で、とても楽しかった。球磨川は日本三大急流の一つで昔から川下りが有名だが、熊本市からは近いようで遠く、観光に行ったことはなかった。

残念ならが、動いている車内からはよい写真がとれなかったが、球磨川沿いの渓谷の景色はとても美しかった。人吉では球磨焼酎を試飲してみて、米焼酎の美味しさに初めて気付いた。
