Potato with bacon and bell pepper Croquette

I believe that Japanese "Korokke" comes from this French word.  Korokke is one of the most popular foods in Japan.  Though because it takes time to make these, I hardly make them.  If you have mash potatoes leftover, it's easier to do.  I added saute of poitrine fumee with red bell pepper in mash potatoes then coated with flour, egg and breadcrumbs then deep fried in oil.
