Samgyetang


Samgyetang is a Korean chicken soup.  I actually never had this before at Korean restaurant but I just tried with recipe on internet.  The chicken is stuffed with sticky rice, wolfberry, pine nuts.  I think originally this soup contains a lot of korean herbs that are considered good for health but I just put wolfberry because I didn't have any others.

I cooked the chicken with onion, leeks, garlic and ginger and salt.  After three hours of cooking, the small chicken become extremely tender that can crush it with spoon.  This is very easy and wonderful winter dish.

サムゲタン」とは韓国のチキンスープ。私は一度も食べた事がないのだが、ネットの情報を頼りにそれらしきものを作ってみた。ちょうど小さな鶏が手に入ったので、これに餅米、クコの実、松の実を詰めて、タマネギ、ネギ、にんにく、生姜と共に3時間ほど煮込んだ。本来はもっと色々な薬膳を詰めるらしいがなかったのでこれだけ。

ルクルゼで3時間程に煮込むと鶏はスプーンで崩して食べられる程ほろほろに柔らかくなった。味付けは塩のみ。驚くほどよく鶏の味が出ていた。簡単にできるしとても暖まる。寒い日にはもってこいの料理。
