Choucroute Grillee


Choucroute is traditional dish from Alsace.  The original includes salted pork and many kind of sausage and cooked in the pot.  I boiled sausage first to get rid of excess fat then grilled in the pan.  This grill plate is from Japan and it's used for restaurant to server meat dishes.  I warm up this plate in the oven until gets really hot.  The plate is really good to serve the food very hot and it keep it warm for long time.

「焼きシュークルート」シュークルートとはアルザス地方のソーセージや塩豚をキャベツの酢漬けと煮込んだ料理。これはそれとは全く違うのだけど、ソーセージを焼いて食べたかったので、グリルにしてみた。一度ボイルして余計な油を落とした後、フライパンで焼いた。このハンバーグプレートは熱々に焼いて使うといつまでも食べ物を温かく保ってくれるので、冬には大活躍。
