Shirataki no Nimono


I don't think many people know about "Konjac" if you've never lived in Japan.  This is very much Japanese specific food, even though wiki says that this exist around Asia but I've haven't seem it much but in Japan.  Konjac is made from a plant, and it has texture similar to jello yet it's very special.  To be honest it's not my favorite food, but I has no calories and good for health and I miss it sometimes.  The one of the photos is shaped in noodled styles.

「白滝の煮物」夫はこんにゃくなどの変わった食感のある日本の食材を好まないため、こういう料理を作るのは独りの時が多い。白滝を出汁と薄口醤油で煮てしばらく置いたもの。こんにゃく類ははっきり言って私もあまり好きではないのだけど、カロリーも低いし、普段滅多に食べないので作ってみた。たまに食べると美味しい。
